Being Seventh-day Adventist

Blog post/Fb post: 10-22-18 Being Adventist; Today is as good as any to talk about being a Seventh-day Adventist. The way I spend Saturday is different. My diet is different. The way I dress is different (I’m not always in a t-shirt and gym shorts.) I made three close friends and have a network of less close friends. The doctrine of the church has definitely helped me make sense of things. Everything: life, end time prophecy, death, purity, love, God, and the rightful place of the Bible in our lives. I’m glad to be a part of my church.

I write so my words and story can last longer than me. My name is Debrezion; I’m also known as Derezion, Dee or Azen. I always know where I am by what people call me. I enjoy church, using computers, and of course writing. I’ve been to Ethiopia twice. I was reared in California, USA but my parents are from Ethiopia. I’m lucky to be alive and I should thank God for that.
