Note about sixth grade

Grade 6
Really memorable. Went to sixth grade camp. Did a science project. Studied ancient Greece. I enjoyed riding my rollerblades at school on the weekend. Wouldn’t want my kids doing that especially not alone. Two things come to mind. I wasn’t riding skateboards yet? My mom didn’t know where I went when I left the house? I think I have heard her say the way she teaches her kids is by letting them do what they want.

My friends were Yosef, Robin, Kimberly, Daniel C., and Raymond but I played with them each separetely. We weren’t a crew.

My mom said this was the year math was really hard for me and that it made me cry. I don’t remember it being that hard. Maybe. I do remember my math homework taking forever. And I think by one point in the school year the math just stopped making sense just like it would four years later in Geometry.

I write so my words and story can last longer than me. My name is Debrezion; I’m also known as Derezion, Dee or Azen. I always know where I am by what people call me. I enjoy church, using computers, and of course writing. I’ve been to Ethiopia twice. I was reared in California, USA but my parents are from Ethiopia. I’m lucky to be alive and I should thank God for that.
